Features

They have a small head, a short snout, and a chubby and round body. The dark brown backs are covered with granules and marked by orange stripes along the sides.

Behaviour

With horny plates on their hind feet, they can dig and burrow into the soil for shelter, while the well-developed adhesive discs on their forelimbs help them climb on steep surfaces. During the breeding season, male frogs produce loud, cow-like calls to attract females.
